At the start of the season, Reading Football Club led the way in the Sky Bet Championship by agreeing that ‘Twenty’s Plenty’ for away fans in 2016-17.
We listened to a nationwide supporter appeal, led by the Football Supporters' Federation, designed to limit adult away ticket prices at stadia across the country, and throughout the 2016-17 season travelling adult fans, who are Season Ticket holders or Members at their respective clubs, have been able to come and watch their team take on Jaap Stam’s Royals for a maximum of £20!
And in announcing the pioneering move to support the Twenty’s Plenty campaign, we openly stated that our long-term aim was to encourage other clubs to follow suit and help to arrange reciprocal pricing structures for our travelling fans this season and beyond.
Cardiff City soon became the first to agree to a ‘Twenty’s Plenty’ price cap in return, allowing 831 loyal Royals fans to follow our team on the road to the Cardiff City Stadium and witness our last gasp win in Wales.
And we are delighted to confirm that Aston Villa
have also accepted our request to reciprocate the £20 price cap we offered their fans earlier in the season. That means that all Reading Season Ticket holders who want to watch the Royals take on Steve Bruce's side on Saturday 15th April, kick-off 3pm, will be able to do so for no more than £20!
Tickets for both this Aston Villa game as well as our away fixture at Norwich are due to go on sale at 9am on Monday 20th March

section for all the ticket information for our trips to Carrow Road and Villa Park next month.
Aston Villa have changed their away pricing policy just for Reading Season Ticket holders for this one-off fixture - and we are thrilled that our stance has been supported by another club this season! We hoped ours would be a structure other clubs would admire and adopt and we would like to applaud Aston Villa and Cardiff for their reciprocal ticket price cap. As a club, we regard this as another step in the right direction.
