Royals boss Nigel Adkins is fully aware of the array of talent that Manchester City will bring to Madejski Stadium tonight for our final home game of the season.
On the back of an excellent 4-2 win at Fulham last weekend, the manager said he's delighted with the development of his players - who can't wait to face last season's Barclays Premier League Champions this evening.
"All the lads are in good spirits - they had a good week on the training ground and we're all looking forward to the game," Nigel told the assembled media on Friday,
"We know what division we're going to be in next season. In the short space of time we've been pleased with the progression that has been made by everyone.
"The last performance and result that we had was very pleasing. To score four goals away against anybody is great and the way we played was really pleasing."
Adkins stressed despite their FA Cup disappointment at the weekend, managerless City boast a squad of potency and prowess that the Royals will have to be wary of.
"They are going to come runners up to Manchester United and they were cup finalists. They are at the forefront of British football in the Barclays Premier League.
"They've got a strong squad of players - whoever plays at the weekend I'm sure will be ready. They're a quality outfit and we're well aware of that, but all we can do is concentrate on ourselves.
