Royals boss Brian McDermott is very happy with the business he has done so far in this transfer window, and says that more deals could be possible if the right players come up.
Daniel Carrico, Hope Akpan and Stephen Kelly have all joined our ranks this month, and Brian will continue to assess the market ahead of the window closing at 11pm on Thursday 31st.
He said, "There's two and a half weeks to go and if something comes our way then fine.
"We've now signed Stephen Kelly, a great lad and he fits right into what we’re about, he'll be an asset and I think it's a great signing.
"People talk about our fans wanting big big names, but for me Stephen's a big name because he will fit into what we're trying to do."
Brian told BBC Radio Berkshire and Reading FC Player, "I've been here 12 years and the biggest names we've ever signed are Martin Keown and Les Ferdinand. I try to sign players who will fit in and are within our budget.
"I know the big names out there, people mentioned Danny Welbeck, I'm sure everyone would have got excited about it but Danny Welbeck is not coming to Reading. If he was available, the reality is that there are 12 teams in the Premier League he will go to."
