Reading Football Club’s brand new ‘On the road with the Royals’ bus has been unveiled – and is already catching the eye!
Chairman Sir John Madejski was joined by Jobi McAnuff, Jem Karacan, Garath McCleary and Mikele Leigertwood to set the wheels in motion for the stunning new bus.
It features the four players on each side, and goalkeeper Adam Federici
on the back. Together with a sleek design, supporters can now travel to Madejski Stadium in style.
It will not be specified to any particular route but will be seen regularly on the 5 and 6 service on Basingstoke Road and Northumberland Avenue, as well as the shuttle service between the town centre and stadium.
The bus made its debut on the roads on Wednesday and has been attracting a lot of attention already.
James Freeman, Chief Executive of Reading Transport said, “We are delighted that one of our buses will be promoting our favourite football club.
“All of us here are looking forward to a really successful season back in the Premier League, and we hope that the popular vehicle can be just as effective.”
Leigertwood, who was on hand to promote the launch of the bus, said: “The fact that we can promote the Reading brand across the town and Berkshire is good.
“The bus looks nice but I was a bit taken back when I first saw myself though! Myself, Feds, Jem, Jobi and Garath are all on it which is nice for our own profiles.”
