The list of comebacks just gets longer and longer. Since Brian McDermott took charge, the Royals have been comeback kings - with Adam Le Fondre as the crown prince.
With full respect to previous victims West Brom, Newcastle, Liverpool, Southampton et al, this was on a completely different level - it was Chelsea, the current Champions of Europe, and two goals down with three minutes of normal play remaining.
It looked impossible. It wasn't.
Brian beamed, "If you've got Adam Le Fondre in your squad that can happen. It was a masterclass of finishing. Every single player played their part and that is exactly why we always talk about the group. Garath McCleary came on, Hope Akpan, everyone contributed. Jimmy Kebe won a very brave header inside all the bodies in their box, then Hope flicked it on and the finish was absolute quality. Not too many on that pitch would have finished that, I tell you, a ridiculous finish.
"This is the Champions of Europe, they've got Lampard, Mata, John Terry on the bench, an absolute fortune. But when we scored one we had a major chance. The roof came off the place - I just hope nobody left early! That is right up there with any of the wins we've had.
"In the first half there wasn't much in it and it was a body blow to go in at half time 1-0 down. It took me a couple of minutes to get together for my team talk. We came out second half and weren't really ourselves. But Garath and Hope came on and made a big impact. We had to do a lot of work from the sidelines tonight. I said when I took over I'd never have any fear. You can always make a difference from the side."

Akpan made a fantastic impact on his home debut and it could not have gone any better for him with two major assists. "You can see he's really going to be a player for Reading. He's got ability, he can see a pass, he's strong. He is what our club is all about. People question our signings, I think he was three hundred grand - I guarantee you wouldn't get him for three hundred grand tonight!
"I've got great heart because I have great people around me. We were written off in April when we got promoted. We came from nowhere last year to win the league and I would never write these guys off. They've got a real willingness, heart and desire to keep going and get something."
