Eamonn Dolan has confirmed that David Dodds and Martin Kuhl will be his assistants for the fixture with Manchester United on Saturday afternoon.
Speaking to Reading FC Player
, the Irishman said he was delighted with the wealth of experience the club boast behind the scenes.
“Martin has played nearly 500 league games, he's been an assistant manager winning promotions. David Dodds is a very well respected man - there'll be part of the group on Saturday,” he said.
“They will be a great help. Obviously Sal Bibbo, Karl Halabi, Luke Anthony – all our staff really rally around eachother and are all together. It’s a tight knit group and we go forward because we have to and we want to. We want to get a result. They’re all very talented people that run their groups very well, so we’ve got a chance.”
David has worked alongside Eamonn as assistant manager of our Academy since joining the club in the 2009/10 season. He had previously worked in youth football with Tottenham Hotspur and Watford.
Martin Kuhl made 474 appearances in the Football League for clubs such as Birmingham, Portsmouth and Bristol City – before enjoying coaching spells at Aldershot Town and Wycombe Wanderers. He is the Royals' Professional Phase Coach, takes charge of the club's under 16s side and assists with our under 18s scholars. In his time at Aldershot Martin enjoyed a stint as caretaker manager, taking the Shots to the FA Cup third round for the first time in the club's history.
