Update ahead of Saturday's game

Manager Brian McDermott has confirmed that Jimmy Kebe will ‘possibly’ be in contention for Saturday’s clash with Wigan Athletic.

The Malian winger, who missed last weekend's win against Everton with a groin problem, is in with a chance of returning to training at the end of this week – and could to the DW Stadium.

“Alex McCarthy is doing a bit more in training today which is good,” Brian told his pre-match press conference.

“Danny Guthrie will hopefully train on Sunday and Jimmy Kebe will possibly train today (Thursday). Jem Karacan has been running but is still not quite right. Apart from that, everyone else is fine from last weekend. Jimmy is possibly in contention – everyone else, not quite.”
