It was a tough evening for Royals on international duty on Wednesday evening.
Brian McDermott's squad had three men in Chris Coleman’s Wales side that lost 2-0 at home to Bosnia-Herzegovina; Simon Church and Chris Gunter started the friendly at the Parc y Scarlets Stadium, while Hal Robson-Kanu came on for Gareth Bale just after the hour mark – but Vedad Ibisevic and Miroslav Stevanovic scored a goal in each half to earn victory.
Adam Federici crossed played the second half in goal for Australia in a 3-1 defeat to Scotland at Easter Road, the Aussie couldn't be faulted as a rather spectacular own goal that flew past him before Ross McCormack finished well late on.
Elsewhere the bad luck continued as young midfielder Jake Taylor was sacrificed after only ten minutes after David Stephens’ red card reduced Wales to ten men – Geraint Williams’ Wales under-21 side went on to lose 1-0 against Armenia in Wrexham.
