Royals youngster Jordan Obita has spoken of the ‘special’ moment that saw him score a dramatic FA Cup goal against Everton at the weekend.
The 19-year-old, who is currently on a short term loan deal with Oldham, made a lung busting run to bag the opener in the Latics’ 2-2 draw with the Toffees on Saturday evening.
"Every goal is amazing, but this one was extra special,” Jordan told oldhamathletic.co.uk.
"Everton are a good team, but we more than matched them and I feel we should have beaten them. We always believed we would score when we were 2-1 down, and we did."
The replay will take place on Tuesday, February 26th, kick off 7.45pm at Goodison Park. Watch highlights of his goal in the first leg here
Jordan has made two starts for the Boundary Park outfit thus far – and will be in strong contention to pick up another appearance in their League One clash away to Stevenage on Tuesday evening.
Elsewhere, striker Gozie Ugwu has extended his loan deal with Plymouth Argyle for a further month – whilst Kaspars Gorkss kept a clean sheet on his debut for Wolverhampton Wanderers, after joining on loan with view to a permanent deal last week.
