Reading Football Club's Player of the Season Award is in conjunction with the Reading Chronicle, STAR, Heineken UK and Waitrose
Adam Le Fondre has been named as the Royals' Player of the Season for the 2012/13 campaign.
The striker has found the net on 13 occasions over the past ten months, and claimed the record for most Premier League goals in a season as a substitute. He also became the first Reading star to be named Player of the Month in the top flight, after a scintillating run of form in January that caught the eye of football fans across the country.
The 26-year-old claimed his award, which was voted for by Reading supporters, shortly before the clash with Manchester City.
In a hotly contested poll, goalkeeper and Academy product Alex McCarthy claimed second spot.
The 23-year-old stopper has put in some outstanding displays, including an incredible performance in the goalless draw against Liverpool at Madejski Stadium.
All this came despite having to undergo shoulder surgery following a nasty injury picked up making another stunning save in the away draw with Queens Park Rangers in November.
In third spot was midfielder Hal Robson-Kanu, who marked his debut season in the top flight with an impressive seven goal haul. Hal's eye-catching brace in the 4-2 win over Fulham epitomised his ability, whilst he has also continued to make a mark on the international scene - scoring his first Wales goal in a 2-1 win over Scotland.
