Adrian Mariappa is ready for the Royals to give this Barclays Premier League campaign one last assault - with three points the target in each of our final seven games.
Though we almost shared the spoils at Old Trafford, arguably our two most difficult fixtures - away to Man United and Arsenal - are now out of the way. Now, with Nigel Adkins ready to take charge of his first home game, Mapps says it's all about taking everything from the training ground into Madejski Stadium on Saturday - as Southampton come to town.
"We're cracking on with training this week and getting ready for Saturday now," said the centre back. "The Arsenal game wasn't great for us. It was a bad result and we have to look at what we can improve from it and take the positives into Saturday.
"He (Nigel Adkins) has told us what he wants from us, the way he wants to play and what he expects. Now it's just about working on it in training."
As for the rest of the season, Mapps says the Royals are looking at every fixture as a game to win as Adkins' men get set for the final push of the season.
"We're looking at every game to get three points from. Every game is going to be tough but we have to go for a win and every one," Mariappa added.
"There's a lot of 'must-wins' for us now in this last push before the end of the season. We need to get points - the games are running out. Every game now is a massive game for us.
"You never give up. The one thing I've found here is that the team spirit is very high and I think we've shown that in games this season where we've come back from losing positions to win."
