Goalkeeper meets Guildford youngsters

Goalkeeper Alex McCarthy was present at the opening of one of our Academy Development Centres in Guildford - and met loads of delighted youngsters during his visit!

McCarthy, currently out of action due to injury, popped by to watch youngsters take part in a mini-tournament before taking some time to chat to the specialist goalkeeper training that took place.

The shot-stopper, who grew up in the Guildford area, witnessed the lads try to shoot through the Waitrose inflatable wall - while football freestyler Matt Minnis was also on hand to entertain the youngsters.

A Q&A took then took place, as Alex answered questions the youngsters posed - and then picked 15 lucky winners who won a personalised signed and framed picture of the goalkeeper.

Alex then posed for pictures and signed the remaining lads items in what was an excellent evening in Guildford!
