Only four Premier League players have more top flight assists to their name this season than Jobi McAnuff.
The Royals captain has set up four goals – a tally
only just edged out by over £90 million worth of talent in Juan Mata, Eden Hazard, Bryan Ruiz and Wayne Rooney.
Jobi set up both of our goals in the 2-2 draw with Newcastle, played in a visionary ball for Pavel Pogrebnyak's strike at Swansea and gave Mikele Leigertwood the opportunity to convert his 'Ledgehammer' against Fulham.
Speaking to Reading FC Player this week, Jobi said:
“The good thing about this week is we have the game against Villa, we were all gutted after Wigan – but we went straight in on the Sunday to make sure we were fully focussed on the next game.
“It’s an important one, we’ve dusted ourselves down and we’re ready.”
Last week it was revealed that Jay Tabb covered more ground than any other Premier League player during the 2-1 victory over Everton, notching up over seven miles against the Toffees.
McAnuff also boasts some impressive stats, clocking 6.61 miles at the DW Stadium this weekend – second only to Hal Robson-Kanu, whose total of 6.71 miles left him top of the ‘distance covered’ charts on the day.
