Royals striker Alice Palmer has been selected for England's under-19's Women's team.
Now in her second season with Reading, Alice arrived in Berkshire from Dorset's FA Centre of Excellence and joined the club's scholarship programme.
With eight goals to her name already this season, Alice has grown in confidence and has developed into a key player for the Ladies this season.
Her coach, Kelly Chambers, said: "This is a massive achievement for both Alice and the club. She has put in so much hard work over the last year and a half - it just goes to show that hard work does pay off.
"I have been Alice's coach for the last 18 months at our scholarship programme and have seen Alice grow from being a young girl into a young woman and really develop as a player.
"It is a fantastic feeling when one of my players gets called up to represent their county, and shows that the club and the staff within the women's & girls department are doing the right things and are still developing players."
Congratulations to Alice on behalf of the club!
