Striker
Dominic Samuel has pulled out of England's under-19s squad for the Three Lions' match against Finland tonight.
Samuel, who has been in fine form for this season under Chris Cummins, unfortunately misses out because of illness.
As a result he also missed the Royals under-21s'
draw against Bolton Wanderers on Monday afternoon.
Nevertheless, Royals boss McDermott had some encouraging words for the striker last week, "He's is a real talent. He's allying his talent with his work rate - that's starting to happen now. He's really working hard - I saw him play against West Ham last week and he did really well.
"He's getting closer - and I'm sure the young lads see what happens at this club. You just have to look at Sean Morrison - he's played the last two games. They must think that they have an opportunity. We'll try and involve him with the first team how we can."
