This week, Jay Tabb took time out of his training schedule to inspire pupils from a school in Caversham.
The energetic midfielder, who wants to become a P.E. teacher after his football career, visited Hemdean House School to promote physical education and, in particular, football to the children.
On arrival, Jay watched over as a year 4 class took part in a football session - before introducing himself to the children who congregated for a special assembly.
Jay answered questions from the floor about his time as a footballer and what it takes to play professionally. A ‘yes or no’ style game was then held where a surprised lucky youngster walked away with a signed picture of Jay.
'Tabby' then posed for photos with each class in attendance, and signed items that the children - who were clearly in awe of him throughout the afternoon.
