Inside look at Old Trafford battle

The Royals certainly gave a good account of themselves at Old Trafford this past weekend – as the stats show!

It was always going to be a tough ask - in 21 years of Premier League competition, Manchester United have played 122 games against newly-promoted sides – losing just 11 in total, and only four times at home. The last time they lost to a newly-promoted side in front of their own fans was more than ten years ago, when Bolton upset Sir Alex’s side with a 2-1 win over the Red Devils at Old Trafford in October 2001.
