Reading FC Women picked up their third win in four games this past weekend, with a 7-0 thrashing of Gillingham.
A hat-trick from Becky Jane added to a Francesca Kirby brace and strikes from Stacie Donnelly and Lois Roche to earn Kelly Chambers' side an emphatic victory.
Donnelly opened the scoring in the tenth minute, finishing well after Kirby’s neat through ball – before Jane grabbed her first of the day after good work from Charlotte Chard.
Roche made it three before the break – bundling home from a corner.
Despite Reading’s dominance Irish international stopper Grace Moloney had to be alert to make a couple of important stops shortly after half time, before Jane put the game beyond doubt to grab her second and the Royals fourth of the day – smashing home Roche’s threaded pass.
Kirby made it five, showing a good turn of pace to breeze past the Gills left back before firing into the net – whilst shortly afterwards Jane bagged the matchball after another well timed pass from Kirby.
The provider then grabbed her deserved brace shortly before the end – already her seventh goal of the campaign.
