Jimmy Kebe remains sidelined for Tuesday evening's home game with Man City, while the visitors' Pablo Zabaleta is suspended.
Kebe has missed the last eight games through injury, but Hope Akpan is closer to a return and could be in contention. Adam Federici is also making good progress from his own ankle injury, whilst Jason Roberts took a positive step forward last week as he came off crutches after a recent hip operation.
Boss Nigel Adkins told the press late last week that he also has a couple of other niggling injuries to consider, and will also have one eye on players who are away on international duty after the League season finishes.
“Jimmy won’t be fit for Tuesday night,” he said.
“Hope Akpan has been on the training ground so we’re pleased about that. We’ve got one or two little niggles, which you always get, and several players that are going to be aware on international duty over the summer so that could be interesting, in terms of getting their recovery process right."
City will be without Zabaleta following his red card in the FA Cup final on Saturday, and Scott Sinclair is out for the season. The visitors made decide to shuffle their pack following Saturday's game, with the likes of Micah Richards, Joleon Lescott and Edin Dzeko aiming for starts.
