Royals' Community trust status
The Royals recently marked their change of status to a Community Trust.
Our Community Trust, formerly known as Football in the Community, provides coaching sessions and other positive, healthy activities to thousands of local children, including school visits, regular holiday soccer schools and local club partnerships.
Lee explained, "Becoming a Trust means that we now have official charity status, so businesses or individuals can donate to us with the benefit of Gift Aid, in the knowledge that all the money will be directly invested into our work with the local community.
"It is also now a lot easier for us to access central funding that might be available for our various activities, and in general there is more potential for growth and developing a greater range of diversity."
The aims of the Reading FC Community Trust are expressed through our new logo 'Care, Develop, Educate', and our mission statement which asserts: 'We can have a positive influence through football.' To further clarify the aims of our Trust, we have also committed to a number of 'pledges' to our local community which are listed below.
If you would like to donate to our Community Trust or find out more information about our activities, please contact Lee Herron on 0118 968 1415 or lherron@readingfc.co.uk
