Hahnemann entertains 100 kids

Posted on: Fri 07 Sep 2007

Marcus Hahnemann visited The Avenue school's end of term awards ceremony this Monday, the event having been postponed from earlier in the summer due to flooding.

Marcus was greeted with loud cheers by around 100 children, and he spent more than an hour and a half with the youngsters, posing for pictures, signing autographs and handing out awards.

The children had pre-planned the questions, some of which were done using the voice boxes as the children have no language. They asked him questions about living in the UK and how much he gets to go home to America.

He told the children about growing up in Colorado, and how he hasn't always been so big!

They had clearly done their research and asked him all about how we drinks Red Bull, he said it's not just Red Bull he drinks a lot of Coffee too, as caffeine is about the only stimulant or assistance professional sportsmen are allowed!

He showed the kids pictures of his operation that he had on his camera phone and talked about how at home he is in Reading and how much he loves the town.
