Sonko attends Drogba fundraiser
On Sunday Ibrahima Sonko attended Football Reaching Out For Africa ,organised by Support For Africa, at The Royal Albert Hall.
Proceeds from the event will be used to build much needed primary healthcare centres in villages in Africa to help prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS and Malaria.
Support For Africa has already managed to build four centres in Africa and enough money was raised at the concert to build two more, the first being in Ivory Coast and named after Didier Drogba, a friend of Royals midfield man Emerse Fae.
Three clinics have been built in three States in Nigeria and the fourth is under construction in Cameroon.
Sonko was involved in the finale and was on stage with everyone involved in the show including members of the Trindad and Tobago world cup squad and Boney M signing 'Oh Happy Day!'
Drogba's band performed, and although the stiker did not sing duo to lack of rehearsal time, they still left the stage to a standing ovation.
Sonks and Didier got a chance to catch up back stage after the concert, with Patti Boulaye the organiser of the event and President of Support For Africa.
