The Royals Community Scheme will be running a series of soccer schools during the forthcoming half-term week, and you can book your places now by clicking here.

There will be events in Reading, Wokingham, Slough, Windsor, Thatcham and more, and one of our courses is for girls only, to be held in association with our girls Centre of Excellence at Madejski Stadium on Friday 26th October.

Community Coach Tristan Lewis explained, "We have a well established Centre of Excellence for girls which has produced England under 17 internationals Sahara Osborne Ricketts, Kayleigh Hines, Melissa Fletcher and England Under 15 star Fran Kirby.

"Our senior ladies team is currently top of the South West Combination League so these are exciting times, and we are looking forward to holding the girls-only soccer school at Madejski Stadium's Academy Training Centre.

"Our Centre of Excellence coaches will be in charge, and it is a great chance for either those just starting out or those who would love to experience Centre of Excellence football to get involved!

"The day will kick off at 9am and finish at 3pm and is open to girls from the age of 8-14. The cost for the day is £20 and there will be lots of prizes and competitions throughout the day with our first team captain Kelly Chambers on hand to give out the trophies."
