Anti-racism events at Saturday's game

Posted on: Fri 26 Oct 2007

Reading Football Club is delighted to be supporting the message of 'One Game, One Community' when we face Newcastle on Saturday afternoon.

This is part of our commitment to supporting the 'Kick It Out' week of action, which is taking place between the 18th-30th October.

The Club are committed to ensure that communities of all races, cultures and religions feel welcome at Madejski Stadium.

Our players will be wearing Kick It Out t-shirts during the pre-match warm-up as a demonstration of their support for the campaign.

They also wore these shirts before last weekend's game at Blackburn.

Five winners of a recent Young Royals competition will be parading a 'Royals Against Racism' banner before the game along with our ball boys and girls, who will be decked out in Kick It Out bibs.

Stewards, hostesses and customer support staff will be displaying badges and stickers in support of the campaign, and also look out for mascot Kingsley wearing his own lion-sized 'Kick It Out' t-shirt.

The official site will have more coverage of the Kick It Out events early next week.
