Doyle & Ivar's Giving Tree

Posted on: Mon 09 Feb 2009

Kevin Doyle and Ivar Ingimarsson were on hand to launch our Giving Tree at Madejski Stadium last week.

The Giving Tree allows Royals fans to buy gifts for local under-privileged children, and we will help pass them on via local charities.

Both Ivar and Kevin brought gifts, with the Irishman donating a pair of signed boots.

The tree is a wonderful way to help those who can experience hard times over the festive season.

Located in main reception, the tree will be in place until 21st December.

To participate, simply take one of the cards from the tree and buy the gift that is written on it. Gifts range from pencil cases to Barbie dolls, any many other small affordable items.

A little contribution can go a long way.

Once purchased, please bring the gift, unwrapped and with the tag stuck to it, back to our main reception.

We will keep the gifts to be taken to Broad Street Mall, where the charities who receive the presents collect them.

The Reading Evening Post help lead this campaign, and they offer kind help in ensuring gifts reach the children in question.
