Community Social Inclusion Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join Reading FC Community Trust to develop and deliver our inclusive community development activity programme. You will work with partners and the wider community to implement a premier social inclusion programme.
The Social Inclusion Officer will lead on the implementation of a range of current projects from the Prince's Trust, Sportiv8, Disability football, Women's and girls to the national project of Kickz.
The responsibility of the post will also involve indentify gaps in provision to target areas that sit outside our existing Social Inclusion plan. All programmes will need to support people in their personal and social development, and sit strategically alongside the sports and youth agendas within Reading and Thames Valley.
To apply you will need to have a proven track record of project management in a community setting working with social inclusion and youth inclusion programmes. Candidates should also have excellent presentation, administrative, communication and computer literacy skills.
This vacancy comes at a very exciting time for the trust as we expand our staff team and community projects. The post will require an individual who has an interest in and is committed to using sport as a tool to engage with individuals / communities, and will also need to clearly demonstrate a passion for the positive impact sport can have in peoples lives.
This position involves working with children and young people, and will be subject to an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure. Salary £18,000 - £20,000.
