Liam Rosenior teamed up with his father Leroy to support the 'Show Racism The Red Card' campaign with around 100 local schoolchildren at Madejski Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.

Children from Katesgrove New Christ Church, Wooden Hill, Geoffrey Field and George Palmer Schools assembled in the Stadium's Study Centre to watch the campaign's new DVD, featuring interviews with Ryan Giggs, Didier Drogba, Rio Ferdinand, Thierry Henry and more.

Leroy, a patron of the charity, then talked about some of his experiences suffering racist abuse as a player, before the children were invited to ask questions.

Liam said, "People aren't inherently born racist; it's something that they pick up from bad role models in society so it's important to educate people from an early age."

His father Leroy added, "Anyone who played professional football in the 70s and 80s, like I did, has plenty of stories about racist abuse because it was widespread then.

"Although we don't have the same problems with racism in football now, it's vital that we don't become complacent. We must keep educating children to ensure that racism doesn'r re-emerge."
