Reading Football Club's Community Trust are pleased to announce that a new Prince's Trust Team programme will be running at the club from Monday 25th January.
Connexions Berkshire is the Delivery Partner for the Prince's Trust Team programme and this week we are recruiting young people to join the Team programme here at Madejski Stadium.
The Team programme does not carry any fee and offers personal development training for 16-25 year olds, designed to re-engage young people whilst preparing them for their futures.
The Team scheme is a full-time course which runs at Madejski Stadium from Monday to Friday, 9.30am - 4.30pm.
During the 12-week programme, participants will:
• Learn the importance of teamwork
• Spend a week at a residential activity centre taking part in various activities
• Undertake a project based in the local community
• Complete a work placement in their chosen workplace
• Participate in a team challenge
• Stage a team presentation
The benefits of joining a Team programme are:
• Gaining a profile of achievement
• Working towards a nationally recognised City & Guilds Qualification in Personal Development
• Becoming more employable
• Developing your CV & career prospects
During the Team programme young people's benefits won't be affected and Connexions will support travel costs. Young people can also apply for EMA whilst on the Team programme.
