Royals stars
Adam Federici and
Oliver Bozanic joined players from London Irish for a special 'pink' tug of war yesterday, as they lent their support to the Breast Cancer Campaign.
The pair needed a little help from Kingsley as they battled against Steffon Armitage, Nick Kennedy, Sailosi Tagicakibau and Ryan Lamb from the rugby club - in a bid to raise awareness of the charity's new Paint the Town Pink fundraising event.
Paint the Town Pink is taking place all throughout October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Campaign is encouraging everyone in Reading to get involved by holding a pink fundraising activity in support of the charity.
Reading FC and London Irish Rugby Club are fully backing the new event and will be holding pink fun days at the Madejski stadium later in the month to raise funds for the charity.
Colin Norford, Breast Cancer Campaign's Senior Community Development Manager, said "It's fantastic that Reading FC and London Irish Rugby Club are fully supporting Paint the Town Pink. Their efforts have been crucial to make our new pink month a success and we really appreciate their efforts. We want as many people as possible to get involved in Paint the Town Pink and this pink tug of war is a perfect way to inspire more people to take part."
