Reading 3 (Hennessey 4 og, Bikey 71, Cisse 89)
The Royals turned in an absolutely superb performance at Molineux tonight, picking up a magnificent 3-0 win against a Wolves team who had won seven straight games coming into this match.
Reading ended the game completely dominant after turning Wanderers into a shadow of the team that had flown to the top of the Championship with 22 points out of a possible 24.
We got off to the perfect start when Wayne Hennessery could only palm a Stephen Hunt corner into his own net under pressure from Kevin Doyle; only four minutes on the clock.
Noel Hunt had a header cleared off the line on 35 minutes, and immediately Andy Keogh had Wolves' best chance of the night but failed to beat Marcus Hahnemann when in on goal.
We then had to weather plenty of Wolves possession, if not clear chances, but put the game out of sight on 71 when Andre Bikey headed home a cross from the hugely influential Jimmy Kebe.
Incredibly, it was 3-0 right on full time when subs Shane Long and Kalifa Cisse combined, the Malian sliding home a great low cross from eight yards to put a real seal on the night.
Reading were superb from back to front, and a special mention must go to our full backs Chris Armstrong and Liam Rosenior for their top drawer performances; defending and attacking.
A few hundred lotal Royals were sent back down the motorway with a massive spring in their step - what a fabulous way for the Royals to win their first away game of the season.

First half
With just four minutes gone, Reading had a dream start. Stephen Hunt showed great ability to win a corner down our right, and saw his first delivery blocked. At the second attempt he whippped in a superb, undefendable cross to the near post. Wayne Hennessey came for it among a pile of bodies, and probably got the final touch into his own net, with Kevin Doyle just behind him.
It was a a brilliant way to begin the game, and we soon had a great break on to look for a quick second, but were unfortunately brought back for a head injury to a Wolves man.
Reading were enjoying great possession against a Wolves side who had won seven straight games, and we had some very good opportunities but not too many clear chances on goal. Regardless, it was by far our best performance away from home.
With ten minutes of the half remaining, we were inches from making it 2-0. Another Stephen Hunt cross from the right found his brother Noel, and his glancing header was cleared off the line, very close to going in; the keeper beaten.
Immediately though Wolves broke, and had a great chance to level. Michael Kightly ran fiercely toward our defence, and played in Andy Keogh, who had a great opportunity but put it too near to Marcus Hahnemann; the big American saving low.
Wolves then had the upper hand in the final knockings of the period, with Sylvan Ebanks-Blake dangerously getting into the area; Andre Bikey just about doing enough to avert the danger.
Second half
The second half started evenly, and 12 minutes in we were a post's width away from going further ahead. Another Stephen Hunt corner caused havoc in the box as it was hooked back in by Doyle. Jimmy Kebe half-hit a shot, and it bounced up off the upright. It fell to Ivar Ingimarsson at the other post, and he cracked in a piledriver but Hennessey was equal to it.
It was very open, and the impressive Liam Rosenior linked up beautifully with Kebe, only to be denied by a brilliant Stephen Ward challenge. Then a moment later Rosenior was more than doing his duty down the other end, getting in a superb block as sub Sam Vokes, on for the injured Kightly, unleashed from 18 yards.
Wolves had half-chances in front of goal, but their supporters were becoming more and more frustrated as we stood firm and shackled Mick McCarthy's men all over the pitch.
Then with 71 on the clock, we made it 2-0 with a superb set piece. Stephen Hunt took it short to Rosenior, and it was worked square to Brynjar Gunnarsson just outside the box. The Icelander found Kebe with a lovely weighted pass, and the Malian winger, superb on the night, dinked up a cross for Bikey to head home powerfully.
The few hundred Reading fans who had made the trip were absolutely overjoyed with the scoreline, but the performance had also been of the very highest order from back to front.
Doyle wanted his first away goal of the campaign, and shot on the angle but Hennessey had to palm clear. Soon after another Stephen Hunt delivery, this time a free kick, caused all kinds of problems and Noel probably should have done better with the header.
Bikey then went desperately close from yet another corner, but it wasn't long before we did make it 3-0, a truly magnificent result.
Sub Shane Long burst down the right with great pace, and with half a chance to shoot, he instead took the perfect option of playing a wonderful pass to fellow sub Kalifa Cisse, the Malian sliding home from eight yards to put our fans into dreamland.
