Nicky Shorey has been named in the England squad to face Germany next week.

He made his debut when Steve McClaren's men played their first ever game at the new Wembley, a 1-1 draw with Brazil.

Bobby Convey and Marcus Hahnemann are in the USA squad for a friendly away to Sweden next Wednesday 22nd August.

The same day, Andre Bikey's will be in Japan with Cameroon for a fixture in Oita.

Stephen Hunt, Kevin Doyle and Shane Long are in the Ireland squad to travel to Denmark, but there is no space for Alan Bennett.

Ulises De La Cruz's Ecuador face Bolivia in Quito, while Brynjar Gunnarsson and Ivar Ingimarsson's Iceland host Canada.

Young forward Simon Church has received his first call-up for Wales' under 21s, and they play away in Sweden on Tuesday 21st.
