Ulises De La Cruz is founder of a charity back home in Ecuador, and Royals fans can help this exceptionally worthy cause.

In February, Ulises' friend Juan Pablo Lopez Guerra will be taking part in the Ruta Del Sol rally from Ecuador to Brazil. Royals fans can help sponsor Juan's epic journey, which will take three weeks in a VolksWagen Beetle!

All proceeds go to Ulises' FundeCruz foundation, which is continuing its fantastic work in his home town of Piquiucho in Ecuador.

Donations of any size are received with thanks, and details of how to donate are below. If you are interested in a larger donation and sponsorship, email help@ulisesdelacruz.org

The FundeCruz charity focuses on children's nutrition, health, education and sports development. It provides daily meals for more than 100 primary school children, running water for a whole village, has founded a hospital, a school and the construction of a community sports centre.

FundeCruz is now a registered charity in England (#1121368) and since its humble beginnings has funded numerous projects that have vastly improved the living conditions of the local community, but there remains much work still to be done.

Ulises donates 10% of his wages from Reading FC to his foundation, and has been awarded the equivalent of an MBE by his country.

If you want to help, you can send cheques or postal orders, payable to FundeCruz and sent to: 36 Blakes Quay, Gas Works Road, Reading, Berkshre. RG1 3EN.

Or you can pay in person at the STAR Unit on matchdays behind the east stand at Madejski Stadium.

Pictures of Ulises overseeing his charity's work back at home is also online here, while a video is online here.
