Minute's applause held for O'Donnell

Posted on: Tue 01 Jan 2008

A minute's applause was held for Phil O'Donnell before today's game.

Both sets of players paid their respects to the Scottish international, who passed away while playing for Motherwell at the weekend.

Phil's team were playing a Dundee United side that included Stephen Hunt's brother Noel.

The entire football world has been rocked by Phil's tragic death.

Ex-Royals boss Mark McGhee is manager of the Pars, and the thoughts of everyone at Reading FC, and in the football community as a whole, are with Phil's family and friends.
