Former Reading man Steve Sidwell has backed the Royals to get away from the wrong end of the table.
Sidwell's Chelsea inflicted a 1-0 away defeat on us on Wednesday evening, and it was our fifth straight defeat in the Barclays Premier League.
Those five losses have all come against teams in the upper reaches of the table, and it has been a difficult last few weeks for Steve Coppell's men.
But ex-Royal midfield man Sidwell says we can get back on track and climb up the table.
Speaking to our online TV station Reading World, Steve said, "I think Reading have got enough quality, and more than anything they have got enough character too.
"The management is there so that if the boys slip down the table, they will be the first to put it right.
"The players will put it right too, and I'm sure they will be fine.
"The boys will pull together as they always do, they'll be fine."
He continued, "It's the same style of play and near enough the same team from last season.
"The boys never say die, it's just really been a case of the away form this year.
"The gaffer, Wally and Dill will rally the troops and I'm sure it'll be fine."
Sidwell played the last few minutes of the game at Stamford Bridge, and it was nice for him to see some familiar faces.
He said, "It was good to see the boys.
"There's the gaffer and all the staff, I just hope and wish everyone well.
"I saw Blakey [Glen Little] afterwards, you can't miss him!
"It was tough for Reading, we played well using the ball, got the break with the goal and could have had more.
"We lived on the edge with set pieces, I know first hand how dangerous they can be."
There is much more from Steve in the full video interview on World now as he speaks on Chelsea's bid for all four trophies this season.
