Stephen Hunt says he should have been walking away with the matchball following our 0-0 draw at home to Blackburn.

Hunt had one glorious chance with five minutes to go, but completely missed his kick as Shane Long's pass ran across to him with the goal at his mercy.

It was an opportunity he really should have taken, and he had another couple of half chances in the second half on his right foot, while he was unlucky with one opportunity after only five minutes that went narrowly wide.

Hunt was very disappointed with himself for his efforts in front of goal, and cut a forlorn figure when speaking to the press after the game. He said, "I was half celebrating that one in the last minute.

"I've not trained this week because of my hamstring, I had some rustiness in front of goal but there's no excuses, I should have scored.

"I should have taken the match ball. It was frustrating in front of goal. I'll be there again next week though."

The point edges us a little further away from the drop zone with only six games to go, and Hunt said, "Personally I was little unhappy with the result but it's a good point for the team. The teams around us had some wins so maybe it was a decent point."

We can be happy with the point considering we went down to ten men midway through the second half, and Hunt commented, "It's one of those things, the ref has a difficult job. He's a good ref, he doesn't get flustered and he has common sense. I have a good relationship with him.

"Marek is more of a footballer than a tackler and maybe he was a bit unlucky with the ref card."
