Four offered deals, six released
The Club have offered deals to four players who are out of contract this summer, but a further six will not be staying.
Glen Little, Michael Duberry, Ben Hamer and Scott Davies have been offered terms to stay with the Club.
However John Oster, Ulises De La Cruz, John Halls, Graham Stack, Adam Bygrave and Aaron Brown will all depart as their deals come to a conclusion.
Director Of Football Nick Hammond told readingfc.co.uk, "I would like to place on record my thanks to all of the players who will be moving on.
"They have all shown great professionalism, and we wish them all the very best for the future."
Meanwhile, Alan Bennett and Sam Sodje are back with the Club after loan spells, and they both have a further year left on their contracts.
Winger Little, 32, made two substitute appearance for us this season after returning in April following injury.
Duberry, 32, was used on 15(+2) occasions in all competitions, and ended the campaign at the heart of the defence alongside Ivar Ingimarsson.
Hamer is a 20-year-old goalkeeper who spent the vast majority of the season on loan at Brentford. He played 21 games for Andy Scott's men. He has previous experience with Crawley, where he spent the 2006/7 season.
Davies is a midfielder who turned 20 last month. He spent the season on loan at Aldershot, and won a Blue Square Premier champions medal. He scored nine goals for the Shots in a very successful campaign.
Oster, 29, leaves the Club after three years at Madejski Stadium, making 43(+47) appearances and scoring three goals in all competitions. He signed on a free in the summer of 2005 after leaving Burnley.
De La Cruz is 34 and moved to Reading at the start of our Premiership campaign in 2006. He played on 22(+3) occasions, scoring once, a brilliant individual effort in a 3-1 home win against Sheff Utd.
Halls, 26, made one sub appearance for us in the Premier League this season, and two starts in the Carling Cup. He joined from Stoke in January 2006, and played a total of 7(+2) games, scoring twice. He was loaned to Preston, Palace and Sheff Utd this season.
26-year-old Stack spent the duration of this season out on loan at Wolves. He signed for us from Arsenal in summer 2005, initially on loan, making one League start and a further nine in the cups.
Bygrave is a 19-year-old defender who was never able to break through to our first team. He played 14(+2) games for League One Gillingham on loan this season.
Finally, Brown, 24, leaves the Club after joining from Tamworth in November 2005. He was on the bench for a couple of games in the Championship but suffered from cruel injuries. He ended the campaign on loan at Walsall.
