Fae, Henry & co on duty

Posted on: Thu 29 May 2008

Emerse Fae was among a number of Royals on international duty over the past few days.

The midfielder has been with the Cote D'Ivoire squad in Japan for the Kirin Cup, and started in both of their matches.

The first match was a 1-1 draw with Paraguay, followed by a 1-0 defeat to the hosts.

Fae will now travel to Africa for the first matches in his country's World Cup qualifying campaign, and they have games with Mozambique, Madagascar and Botswana, starting this weekend.

Other Royals are also starting their World Cup bid, with Ibrahima Sonko away with Senegal. Andre Bikey is with Cameroon but does have a suspension.

Jimmy Kebe is part of the Mali squad for a series of African Cup Of Nations qualifiers.

James Henry was a sub as England's under 19s beat Belarus 2-0 on Monday in a European Championship qualifier.

Jem Karacan has been playing for Turkey's under 19s in Armenia in qualifiers for the same tournament.

Adam Federici was part of the Australia squad for a 1-0 friendly win over Ghana last week, and he is expected to be named in their Olympics squad this summer.
