Royals defender Scott Golbourne could miss the start of pre-season through injury.

The left back picked up a pelvic problem near the end of the season, and is undergoing treament.

Physio Jon Fearn told readingfc.co.uk, "Pre-season might just come a little bit early for him.

"He's making progress, which is the important thing, and hopefully he won't be too far away."

Scott made one Premier League appearance for us this season, and one more in the Carling Cup.

He lined up in the 3-0 defeat away to Bolton back in August, then the Cup trip to Swansea a few days later.

The 21-year-old then played a further eight games on loan at Bournemouth, scoring once.
