Midfielder Emerse Fae is on the verge of a loan deal to French top flight club Nice.

Fae is currently away on international duty with Cote D'Ivoire, and the move has been all but agreed between the clubs and the player.

The deal will also include the option of a permanent transfer to the French outfit.

Director Of Football Nick Hammond told readingfc.co.uk, "There are only a couple of things that need finalising at this stage.

"I can't foresee any problems, so the deal should be done sooner rather than later."

Fae joined for a Club record £2.5million from Nantes last summer, but only made 3(+5) Premier League appearances for the Club, and was never on the winning side in any of those games.

He made a further three starts in the cup, and was on international duty at the African Cup Of Nations during January.
