Royals employee hands over charity cheques

Posted on: Wed 02 Jul 2008

Royals employee David Howkins recently handed over £600 to charity after raising the cash by staging a spectacular display of Christmas lights at his home in Woodley.

David presented £200 apiece to the Royal Families, the Royal Berkshire Hospital Stroke unit and the Intensive Care Baby unit.

David has been working at Reading FC for 44 years, currently carrying out hotel and general maintenance duties.

He puts on a light show at his home every Christmas and would like to thank everybody who donated.

Pictured is Emily Shorey receiving a cheque on behalf of the Royal Families.
