Defender in team of the week
Royals defender Ibrahima Sonko has been named in the official Coca-Cola Championship team of the week.
The 27-year-old scored both goals in our 2-0 win over Plymouth, and also defended extremely well to help us earn a very comfortable victory.
It was the first time he had ever scored twice in a Reading shirt, and his last goal was away to Manchester United in December 2006.
He did score two goals for previous club Brentford once, notching twice in a 5-0 home win over Blackpool in November 2002.
Perhaps harshly, neither Bobby Convey nor Jimmy Kebe make the final XI, which is chosen by the Press Association.
The full team is:
Mart Poom (Watford)
Kevin McNaughton (Cardiff)
Callum Davidson (Preston)
Matthew Kilgallon (Sheff U)
Ibrahima Sonko (Reading)
Brian Howard (Barnsley)
Paul McKenna (Preston)
Liam Trotter (Ipswich)
Etienne Esajas (Sheff Wed)
Chris Iwelumo (Wolves)
Billy Sharp (Sheff Utd)
