Andre Bikey will not be involved for the Royals when we take on Charlton Athletic this Saturday, kick off 12:45pm.

The 23-year-old has been given extra time off following his exertions with Cameroon in the Olympics in China.

The defender was away with Cameroon for around a month after the end of the season, then flew to Hong Kong for a pre-Olympic tournament before jetting out to China. Steve Coppell therefore decided to give him a further week's rest.

Adam Federici is back with the squad though, and will be on the bench for our game at the Valley.

Michael Duberry is back in training but a place among the substitutes is the very best he can hope for.

Brynjar Gunnarsson is in very light training but is still a little while away from a further return.

Marek Matejovsky and Graeme Murty remain sidelined with ankle and calf problems respectively. Marek's injury kept him out of the Czech Republic's game with England on Wednesday, so both he and Murty went to the 2-2 draw at Wembley as spectators.

Charlton boss Alan Pardew will be without Frenchman Therry Racon for three months because of a broken metatarsal. Matt Holland could take his place.

Kelly Youga is suspended after his red card at Watford last Saturday. Grant Basey could be a doubt after pulling out of Wales' under 21 squad in midweek.

Svetaslav Todorov and Darren Ambrose both came through unscathed in a reserve team defeat to Crystal Palace.
