Posted on: Mon 01 Sep 2008

Defender Alan Bennett has extended his loan spell at Brentford until the beginning of January.

The Republic of Ireland international has helped the Bees to three consecutive clean sheets since moving to Griffin Park at the start of the season.

Bennett is joined in west London by goalkeeper Ben Hamer, who is on a season loan at the Bees.

Young striker Viktor Illugason has also made a loan switch, joining Blue Square Conference South Eastbourne Borough for a month.

Elsewhere, striker Hal Robson-Kanu scored Southend's opener in their 5-2 loss to Walsall on Saturday, and Scott Davies scored a late winner for Aldershot against Bradford.

Simon Church appeared as an 80th minute sub to make his Wycombe debut as part of his month-stay at Adams Park.

Emerse Fae is a regular for Nice in Ligue 1, helping his team to a 2-0 win over Valenciennes at the weekend.
