3-0 win for Royal reserves
Swansea 0
Reading 3 (Kelly 49, Serran og 56, Bozanic 85)
Julian Kelly scored a super individual goal on a good night for the Royals reserves at Swansea on Wednesday.
There was a further boost for the Club as Graeme Murty & Sam Sodje both played 90 minutes at centre back on their comebacks from injury.
An Albert Serran og and a very late Oliver Bozanic strike rounded off the scoring in the match at Port Talbot FC.
It was 0-0 at half time before Kelly picked up the ball wide in the opposition half, played a lovely one-two off Noel Hunt and dinked a super finish over the onrushing keeper.
Good work from Hunt and Nicholas Bignall led to an own goal on 56, then Bozanic was in the right place on 85 to lash home from eight yards.
David Mooney also got 90 minutes under his belt for his first full appearance in a Reading shirt.
Reading: Federici; Kelly, Golbourne, Murty, Sodje; Bozanic, Spence, Henry, Bignall; N Hunt, Mooney
Unused subs: Andersen, Kamdjo, Hateley, Frewen, Bossman
Coach Nigel Gibbs was very pleased with the performance, telling readingfc.co.uk, "I was very pleased with every one of the lads in really difficult conditions.
"There was a swirling wind and howling rain but we put in a very professional performance to win the game.
"Julian Kelly's goal would have graced any game you'd care to see, it was a lovely goal. His celebration had to be seen to be believed though!
"Daniel Spence was excellent in the centre of midfield and numbers 1 to 11 all showed superb application.
"Fedders was fantastic in goal, they put us under a bit of pressure but he was great on crosses and things coming into the box and had a couple of saves to make.
"Last but by no means least Murts and Sodj got full games under their belt and it was a good night."
