De La Cruz a Sky Blue?

Posted on: Tue 09 Sep 2008

Former Reading man Ulises De La Cruz is currently training with Coventry City.

The Ecuadorian left Madejski Stadium at the end of last season, and spent most of the summer training with Watford, but could not agree terms with the Vicarage Road outfit.

He has also been heavily linked with a move to Birmingham City, but Sky Blues boss Chris Coleman is now taking a look at the 34-year-old defender.

Of the players who left Madejski Stadium over the summer, John Halls remains the only one currently not signed with a new club.

He has trialled with Blackpool, Yeovil and Sheffield Wednesday over the past couple of months, and now that the transfer window has closed he is in a good position to find a new club as a free agent.

Graham Stack moved to Plymouth, while Aaron Brown is on a week-to-week deal at Yeovil and made his debut in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy last week.
