Liam: Away form needs sorting
Liam Rosenior says the Royals' away form has to improve immediately following the 2-0 defeat at Ipswich on Saturday.
We only won two away games in the Premier League last season, and have taken one point from the three games on our travels in this campaign so far.
We started OK in the game at Portman Road and Jimmy Kebe had a great chance to put us in front, but Town eventually took control of proceedings and deserved to win.
Liam said, "It was extremely disappointing in the end. We started brightly, Jimmy had a chance and I thought we were in control.
"Counago had a couple of fantastic efforts off the woodwork but it was pretty even. At half time as the away team I thought we were comfortable without hitting our potential.
"They came out quicker and stronger at half time and scored a fantastic goal. After that they got their confidence up and we couldn't get back into the game.
"Since I've been at the club we've been poor away from home. We need to sort it, we don't seem to be doing the same things in away games, we've not been good enough.
"If we want to fulfil our potential, which is to be Champions, we need to win away games because you won't go up otherwise. We need to remedy it as quick as possible.
"We need to be more positive and believe in ourselves more. Confidence is a factor. In the Premiership an away win feels like six points but in this league, with no disrespect to Ipswich and any opposition, we should be looking to win every away match.
"I'm upset after this defeat because I'm part of the team. The attitude is there from everyone, we give our all every time we play and the fans know that. It's a confidence and quality thing and we need to sort it out now.
"Tuesday's game is must-win now and I'm glad we've got a chance to put it right straight away. We had a talk in the dressing room after the game about putting things right now. We were frustrated because we're better than that."
