Captain Ivar Ingimarsson believes that the stunning 3-0 victory away to previously-unbeaten Wolves is a very clear statement of intent from the Royals squad.

It was a magnificent performance from our players, and once they took the lead in the fourth minute they were superb at the back and incisive up front.

The defender said, "It was very important to get our first away win and it sends out the right message to everyone - we are ready to win games away from home.

"This is a difficult place to come and Wolves are a really good team, so we're delighted with the result.

"Scoring three goals away from home is excellent, and it's also great to get another clean sheet."

Now the players are readying themselves for Saturday's visit of Burnley, and Ivar said, "We need this result to spur us on against Burnley.

"We want to keep our home form going so everybody knows that Madejski Stadium is a very tough place to go."
