'Kebe knows where the goal is'
Steve Coppell is hopeful that once Jimmy Kebe gets his first Reading goal the floodgates will open for the Malian winger.
Kebe has done everything but score in the first ten league games of the season, hitting the woodwork, being denied by great saves and snatching at a few good chances in front of goal.
He is yet to open his account in a Reading shirt, and Steve has fingers crossed that his opening goal will prove to be the first of many.
Steve said, "Will one goal lead to a few more? We hope so.
"He's got a decent goalscoring record in France, and he knows where the back of the net is because we've seen him do it in training.
"As long as he's there to miss them I'm not bothered because I know it will happen."
Jimmy came off against Burnley and needed stitches under his eye, with Coppell quipping, "He's ruined his chances of that modelling contract now, but at least he looks a bit more like a hard man."
Kebe supplied two excellent crosses for each of the Hunt brothers to score in our last game with Burnley, and was named in the official Championship team of the week as a result.
