7:20pm - Reading are unchanged, naming the exact same 16 that lost to Preston. Doncaster make four changes, and one-time Reading man Adam Lockwood is not involved.
7:42pm - With the other Coca-Cola Championship games all about to begin, Reading and Doncaster continue their warm-up ready for an 8 o'clock kick off.
7.54pm - The ball boys and girls are lining up ready to welcome the two sides onto the pitch. The atmosphere is building. Doncaster's following is miniscule, somewhat understandably.
7.57pm - The two teams are out and shaking hands. James Harper remains a substitute so Ivar Ingimarsson will complete the pre-match captaincy formalities.
8pm - Two sets up hoops contesting for points tonight - Reading in blue and white will kick off against the red and white of Rovers.
5 mins - Not a lot to report at the moment. A header from James Hayter sails well wide.
7 mins - Better from Reading, Rosenior whips a cross in from the right looking for Doyle, but it's calmly intercepted with a header out for a throw.
9 mins- A strike from Andre Bikey bobbles well wide. Nothign for either goalkeeper to deal with yet and both sides lacking much passing fluency. Doncaster are keeping things tight - basically playing 4-5-1.
14 mins - Noel Hunt turns well and scampers down the right. He has to hold play up though to wait for support. He delivers a great ball into the box but it's just ahead of Stephen Hunt and it flies out to the far side.
15 mins - Doncaster mount a patient attack and a Chambers cross to the near post from the right is headed goalwards by Hayter. It comes off Ingimarsson and bounces just wide of the far post for a corner, which is calmly cleared.
18 mins - GOAL! Kebe has a chance to run at the defence. He is dragged back by O'Connor. Stephen Hunt chips a neat inswinger into the near post and Andre Bikey glances a diving header home. No somersaults tonight but the whole team come to congratulate him.
22 mins - Excellent defening by Liam Rosenior to avert some danger inside the Royals box. He calmly brings it away and mounts an attack through Kebe, but the last Doncaster defender gets a leg in the winger's way to break things up.
24 mins - Doncaster causing some concern in Reading's area. Andre Bikey has to concede a corner with a near post block and then charges down a shot from 15 yards out. Rovers aren't going to roll over.
28 mins - Leroy Lita has scored for Norwich - the Canaries lead high-flying Wolves 2-0 now!!!
29 mins - Great feet from Rosenior and then Kebe sees the latter ghost past his man on the right and deliver a stunning cross into the box. Chambers has to delicately chest it back to Sullivan.
33 mins - Stephen Hunt crosses from the left and the man he has switched wings temporarily with Jimmy Kebe heads just wide of the top right corner.
39 mins - A great backtracking tackle from Noel Hunt is penalised by referee Deadman. He got the ball. The free kick is driven low but Bikey intercepts. A second free kick is harshly given in roughly the same position but this one is calmly cleared.
41 mins - Doyle brilliantly brings the ball down with his chest and then dinks a superb reverse pass into Noel Hunt's path. Hunt should shoot first time with his left but opts to try to come inside his man. He's tackled and the chance fizzles out.
45 mins - Chambers is harshly booked for a challenge on Stephen Hunt. One minute of injury time is to be played.
HALF TIME
48 mins - The game has begun again but the referee keeps blowing for minor fouls that are barely even worth mentioning. The match still has little rhythm but Reading need another goal to be comfortable as we know after last weekend.
51 mins - Patient build-up as Doncaster have everyone behind the ball. They work it out to Rosenior on the right, who shows a turn of pace to beak O'Connor and shape to cross, but his drilled delivery sails into the stands.
53 mins - Kebe's persistence down the left sees a clearance ricochet off the winger and into the six yard box. Noel Hunt is racing onto it and looks to smash it home first time with his left boot, but from 7 yards out he skies it high over the bar. What a chance.
54 mins - Leroy Lita has scored a second to put Norwich 3-1 up at home to Wolves - the Royals striker showing his class on loan.
56 mins - Hayter has a coming together with Rosenior inside the Royals box and he appeals for a peanlty. Nothing is given and Hayter races towards the linesman to complain before Andre Bikey stands in his way sternly.
58 mins - Doncaster substitution. Chambers is replaced by Gareth Roberts.
63 mins - Rovers exerting a bit of pressure here and Lewis Guy tries his luck from distance, fizzing a left footed effort just wide of the left upright.
64 mins - Long kick forward from Hahnemann and a defensive flick back is short and Doyle is clean through. He's one on one with Sullivan and chooses to round him - the wrong choice, he takes it too wide and out for a goal kick. A great chance to put this game to bed - Reading can't let another game they are controlling slip away so a second goal is imperative.
67 mins - Leroy Lita's name is being chanted in the stands - that's because he's hit a hat-trick to put Norwich 5-2 up at home to Wolves. Great stuff from the Royals striker. We could do with a goal here!
70 mins - Double Reading substitution. Harper and Cisse will replace Gunnarsson and Karacan.
72 mins - This referee is now annoying the home crowd. Stephen Hunt executes a great tackle, taking the ball cleanly, and he still blows for a free kick 25 yards out. The set piece is tipped over by Hahnemann.
74 mins - GOAL! From the corner a cross into the near post is headed past Hahnemann by Jos Van Nieuwstadt. Rovers are level and Reading are in danger of dropping more points undeservedly.
76 mins - GOAL! Great response. James Harper delivers a great free kick from the right and Kevin Doyle glances it brilliantly inside Sullivan's right post. A fantastic header! Now we need to score again to make sure.
79 mins - Doncaster substitution. Hayter comes off for Darren Byfield and Jason Price comes on for Guy.
83 mins - Ivar Ingimarsson saves Reading by coming across to block Jason Price's hook towards goal at the near post.
83 mins - Reading substitution. Shane Long is on for Noel Hunt.
84 mins - Doyle turns his man well on the left side of the box and touches it towards the byline. He crosses and Kebe is yards out ready to nod home, but a Rovers defender glances it off the winger's forehead and away. Kebe thought he'd scored.
88 mins - Rosenior plays Cisse in down the right side of the area and he shoots on the turn. It ripples the side netting but doesn't trouble Sullivan.
90 mins - Reading wasting a bit of time now with a free kick down the left. Hunt does swing it in eventually and Long nods a difficult header well wide. Four minutes of injury time will be played.
90(+1) mins - Armstrong hoofs it forward from left back and Doyle is after it. A weak header back sees Doyle almost intercept it and Suulivan can't get it cleanly. He has to quickly touch it back inside his area before falling on it as Noel hunt closed it down.
90(+3) mins - Reading nervously hanging on a bit as cross after cross is pumped into the box. Long wins a corner at the other end to earn Reading a bit of relief.
FULL TIME - The Royals have won here, but it should have been more comfortable than it was. When we needed a reaction it was there, but really we should have got a second goal before Rovers caused a brief scare. Three points though.
