Leroy Lita's loan spell at Norwich City has been extended for a second month.

The striker has re-signed with the Canaries until 7th December - before our Coca Cola Championship meeting with Glenn Roeder's side on 13th December.

As the loan has now entered its second month, the Royals will be able to recall Leroy with 24 hours notice at any time.

Another striker is also making a loan move, with Nicholas Bignall agreeing to join League One Northampton Town for an initial month.

Bignall, who has scored four goals in four starts for our reserves this season, is in contention for his Cobblers' debut in Friday night's televised FA Cup trip to Leeds.

Elsewhere, Royals defender Alex Pearce scored on his Southampton debut this weekend - and helped the Saints come from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at Preston.

Goals from Billy Jones and Stephen Elliott gave North End a 2-0 lead at half time, but Alex notched on 64 minutes to give Saints hope, heading home a corner from six yards.

Andrew Surman scored five minutes later to put the scores level, and David McGoldrick notched a cracking third right on full time for a dramatic win.

Boss Jan Poortvliet said, "Alex did a terrific job. He is a man who goes for the win and brings players with him. He was amazing with all the free-kicks and corner kicks. Hopefully he will do that every week, and we can go on to keep more clean sheets as well."
